I have quite a collection of recipes that I save for this time of year. I have mentioned in past posts that my oven pretty much remains hot for the entire month. I love this stuff so please know that I am not complaining. The problem is that I tend to shoot too high! I try to hit every single thing on my list even though my list is totally ridiculous. I have no self-control when it comes to this list!
I bake for A LOT OF PEOPLE. I have little to no waste. I have people who ask me every year to bake for them as well but I simply can’t. I am at capacity for my space. At some point I will have to look at that but for now, my limit is my limit. That does not help with the guilt though. I feel just awful when I have to say no to someone. I usually end up trying to squeeze in whatever it is they asked for. Sigh. I have some troubles with the word no. I always have…I think.
Anyway, I thought maybe I would share my list with you to show you the types of things I make this time of year, many of which will be posted right here over the next few weeks. If you have a recipe you would like to share with me that you think would be a good fit I would be honored to have it. Family recipes mean so much to me. Oh, by the way…this list is not yet complete….oh yes…theres more! I really nuts.

Most of this food is given away as gifts along with homemade liquors (I will share more about my food gifts in later post) We have lots of people around this time of year so we never run short on people to feed. It’s so much fun!!!! That list is a little long especially when you consider there is still things not on it yet.
By January I slip quietly into a sleep coma. Then I bounce right back up and dig right into the projects I have set to begin in the new year. I have never learned to sit still. I am happy doing all this stuff and running all over the place, I really am. When I run out of gas I just stop (ok, I fall over) but lets not split hairs.
If some of those things on that list are interesting to you stick with me this month….it’s going to get crazy! Now if you will excuse me I’m off to pay some bills before I forget while drowning in recipes!!!
